the party - a report

susandennisIt didn't suck too badly. I ended up chatting with the wives of two of the engineers and they were fun and delightful and glad to find someone to chat with who knew who was who. So it wasn't so bad. Oh and I my manager was there and it was really good to see her and to hear her say she'd be back and she totally understands my frustration and will fix it all. That's a nice litte Christmas present right there.
Plus I got a $50 gift certificate to Amazon as a door prize.
On the down side, I'm a little concerned about society. This party was in a pool hall. There were stacks of ashtrays everywhere. I thought 'yahoo! I'll be able to suck in some much needed second hand smoke!'... But, no. No one was smoking! What's wrong with people these days?! Just because I quit doesn't mean everyone should. Sigh.
