More news from Mom's adventures:

One thing I didn't tell you is that James Garner is OLD. Poor thing apparently had a hip replacement very recently - maybe 5 weeks - and limps big time. He was around a lot and spoke to everyone. He asked me if I wasn't cold (I was in my wheel chair that I spent most of the morning in) and of course I said NOT. He said he was freezing. The building we were in wasn't with water or electricity. They had lots of generators going to use all their electric stuff and later in the day hooked up some huge tubes to pump hot air through. Thus most of the day it was either too hot or two cold depending on where one was. Gena Rowlands came in for a short time. She had just a short scene. Everything was fairly serene most of the morning but at about 3:00 everyone (the crew, that is) was getting a little touchy as was the director. There were probably at least 30 crew and the space was small. Many of the people had one little job so they had to stand around until called on. It made for lots of idle hands (disappearing to smoke) or whatever. Everyone had a cell phone to be called on except didn't always respond. Then the ACTION man would get mad and eventually John Casavettes - although he got mad with such class.

If this whole day doesn't end up on the cutting room floor I will be in lots of these scenes.

The movie is The Notebook based on Nicholas Sparks book.
