susandennisFor those of you hanging on every piece of wig news - and I know you are out there - I have new news. My first two wigs were synthetic hair. They looked fine - if people knew they were wigs they would say 'that's real hair, though, isn't it?'. But, my scalp wasn't that happy. It was getting yucky from constant wear. Dry, itchy, flaky... it was turning into a heartbreak-of-psoriasis commercial.
So I did a little more research and found a human hair wig that was advertised as having a very open cap so you could pull your own hair through to mix if you wanted. $50 with a satisfaction guarantee. I bit. It came today and YAHOOOOOO it's fabulous! It feels great to the touch. It feels great to the head. It looks cute. It even has a few little blonde streaks. It's a keeper.
It does need to be styled (the synthetic ones come pre-styled for life). I haven't done anything with this one yet but plop it on my head. I suspect I can do better and will give it a go soon. I doubt I will do much more than poof it up a bit to get rid of the out-of-the-box look. I did grab this shot at lunch because I know you likely cannot wait one minute longer...
