Revised Christmas list
Dec. 25th, 2002 01:10 pmOne item only - Hugh Grant. Please can I have him? I know he's silly and shallow so why would anyone else want him? Let me have him and I'll keep him away from everyone he would offend, I promise. He'll be busy, right here day and night. I have a list for him and when he's done I'll just have him to look at and play with. Please?
I think before today, the last time I was in a movie theater was in South Carolina a year and a half ago and before that it was probably a year. Today was the first time in lots of years that I paid for a movie ticket. Approximately when did the $1 mantinee go up to $5.25?! I was afraid to look at what a non-matinee would cost.
I like the big screen but I don't like it enough to give up:
Two Weeks Notice was really a very silly movie with all kinds of editing and plot problems. But, I just enjoyed the heck out of it. Really. Hugh Grant is just it for me. There's no getting around it. I don't care what you say, I want Hugh Grant. Now. Please. Thanks.

I like the big screen but I don't like it enough to give up:
- stopping the movie while I go pee or get something to eat
- rewinding the parts I didn't catch or want to see again
- sitting with my feet up
- starting the movie whenever I want
- foregoing the hassle with parking or traffic lights
- avoiding those really really really annoying and never ending trailers
- being able to actually see what I'm knitting while I'm watching
