Three nearly unrelated things
Dec. 31st, 2002 07:42 am- LJ is having a bit of a sniffle again today and all my friends are jumbled together rather than in their nice, tidy groups as usual. It makes for an interesting read.
- I have two litter boxes but one is out on the terrace and generally unavailable in winter. The other is in the closet behind the curtains. This morning, after breakfast, I was getting dressed and saw Jake sitting at the curtain break patiently for Betty to finish so he could have a turn. It cracked me up.
- I've had Jake since he was about six weeks old in 1989. He's now about 35 pounds of nice, solid kitty. He's always had kind of a strange demeanor. He's not shy at all but he's not much of a snuggler either until recently. About a year ago he started Our Time on The Couch. I sit on the couch and pick up my knitting and here he comes. He sits as close to my thigh as he possibly can - wedging me in. This past month he's now decided he's a lap kitty. 35 pounds on my lap and that's not the hard part. It's his walking about on my thighs to get a good settle that's bruising me up some. But, he's a love and I love that he goes through these stages even at his age.
