susandennisMy MSNBC News Alert just flashed a piece about a guy I used to work with. Seems he's gone on to be a bigger shot than I had realized. He's been running Lotus for the past few years, which I didn't know. Wow. I remember him when... Now he's off to run another one of IBM's big divisions and it just happens to be the one that we worked in when we worked together - we weren't running it then. Al was a hot shot but I didn't realize he was hot enough of a shot to pop up in my News Alert.
I had a friend once who said one of her goals was to be mentioned in People Magazine without having to kill her parents or do commit some other news worthy crime. She made it when her novel was reviewed in their book pages a couple of years ago. I think she's be tickled to pop up in a News Alert.
And speaking of friends, my work friend, BJ, has been out all week - playing in the snow in Colorado. It's not as much fun when he's not here. But, it is already Thursday so I guess I have survived without him.
