Not a real good start to the relationship
Jan. 9th, 2003 05:42 pmSo I got my new mortgage. I have a nice letter explaining I can get my account info off their website and if I have any trouble, here's a toll free number to call.
I go and 'register' and get confirmation that I am all registered. The login calls for loan number and PIN number. Creating the PIN was part of the registration. I try to log in. I get a nifty little windows message saying that the loan number doesn't match the ssn number and I should try again. I try again. same message.
I select 'forgot your PIN?' which was, of course, a lie, but sure enough they send it to me. So I try the login thing again. Same stupid message.
Then I call the toll free number. I'm on hold forever. Then I finally get this very cheerful young man who upon listening to my problem tells me that I have to 'send us email - the website girls will take care of it.'
So far, I'm underwhelmed by this mortgage company - good thing I only signed up for 30 years. UGH. I have yet to hear from the website girls.
