The Scalp Scoop or What's New Up Top???
Jan. 27th, 2003 11:21 amI've been under the knife... Well, actually it was a little pick looking thing. But my bump is gone and I have three or four (can't really tell) stitches in it's place on the top of my head.
The hardest part of the whole thing was getting comfortable on this fancy dancy padded adjustable table. The damn thing had so many adjustments that the nurse spent about half of the time just screwing with them. And she never got close to achieving comfort. I finally told her it was fine since I didn't plan to spend a whole lot of time on it.
The cheery doctor did his thing and got it off and stitched me up and told me to try and keep it dry. And then, half way out the door he says that the nurse will take out my stitches in 10 days and by that time he should have the results from the biopsy. Now... this is the first time he has ever ever mentioned biopsy. See, this is what I love about doctors. Who says I want to know the results of a biopsy???!!! Geesh.
Anyway, I went home and snapped a photo (
joyofmacs, you shall have your Film at 11 - or rather before and after pics when I get home), slapped on my wig and went back to work.
