Seriously. There is just not much of anything to report on... so I'll just ramble a bit.

Mom is way better. Today she was worried about losing the file where she keeps the smilie faces and other graphics she likes to use in email. I'm thinking when you get down to those nits, the big stuff is pretty much under control. She found the folder herself before I could even go look - I knew this because she sent an email to tell me and added to prove it.

I actually got a bunch accomplished at work today. We have a bunch of old PDF's that are fine except they look old and tired and do not match the new, fresh look of our current marketing collateral. I don't have text files so I had to cut and paste from PDF's which is tedious on a good day. These, however, were originally created on a Mac using some funky desktop publishing software with a very strange font set so I had to futz with about every 20th word.

But, they are done. Whahooo! And we now have the source docs so changes will be easy peasy. I'm proud.

On Tech TV a couple of weeks ago, Cat Schwartz was talking about AmazingMail. It's a website where you design post cards and they mail them via snail mail. You can mail 500 or 1. They give you the first one free so I gave it a go. I used a junky jpg off my website. I got a warning that the DPI was too low and I would not be happy. They were wrong. The card is fabulous. VERY high quality - glossy finish. Fine quality. I am totally hooked. You can send 1 for $1.10. They have pictures you can use your you can use your own. I did it on Friday and the post card arrived today.

Now I have a quick and easy way to say a fun 'hi' to those few friends I have left who do not have email.

The new TV season is on its way. As usual, until the first cancellations, I have conflicts. So I have my TiVo list and my VCR list. It's a juggling act. I just don't watch live TV any more. Watching baseball 'live' is torture enough for me. Yesterday I started making out my schedules. Some of the new stuff looks moderately interesting but none of it looks critical.

But, tonight... it's another Mariners game. They are playing Texas.

Fear not. All they have to do is get into that Rangers bullpen (cf. last night's Texas-Oakland game).

Glad your mom is better. Is she in any danger from the Hurricane? I hope they don't have to evacuate wherever she is.
