Old friends and many laughs and wigs
Feb. 26th, 2003 03:37 pmI had a fun lunch with Bryan. We had a lively lively discussion and lots of laughs. We bring out the best in each other wit-wise speaking. Generally I have pretty much of a silver tongue anyway. I am often amazed at the stuff that comes out of my mouth - the cleverness of it. I don't have any idea where it comes from. But, I do know that certain people feed it more than others. Around some people I always sound like a Neil Simon play. (Around others I sound like a bitter neanderthal.) Bryan is one of the Neil Simon people. And it's fun.
Work is ok. I'm about done with it. Nothing like a 90 minute lunch to move the day along. I usually eat whatever at my desk so this was a big difference.
Off in a bit to get my hair cut. I have not had it cut since about last August. Since I have worn a wig pretty much every day since about October, it hasn't mattered, but it needs a general shaping up.
I have gotten my hair cut at the same place for about 7 years. They do not allow tipping which I love. But, their prices are getting a bit out of hand. A woman's haircut is now $38. When I first started going there 7 years ago it was $18. My last wig cost me $29. The wig deal is certainly more economical. I think maybe this haircut will be my last for a long while. After this trim, I should be able to grow it long and just tuck it up pretty evenly and easily. We'll see.
