Slug on the Move

susandennisI'm old and fat and lazy. Sure, I walk to work and back every day but, I live 1/2 block from work! I spend my work hours in front of the computer and my non-work hours are divided between the computer and the TV until I decide to go to bed and read my book for an hour or so before going to sleep. Oh and I'm a smoker. When I say I am a slug, I am not kidding.
But I just finished two hours of climbing steep steps and walking miles and miles in the hot sun. And I am one whipped puppy!
More than two years ago I started taking pictures every day off my terrace. We had an old domed stadium there and they blew it up and built a new stadium. I've chronicled the whole thing with daily photos and commentary on my website. The head guy of the company that built the stadium found my website early on and invited me over for a private tour. And gave me one every six months. It was very kind of him. Today was the final tour and it was great but exhausting. That sucker is huge! And the sun was hot and bright. They will finish up the project on Friday. I won't stop taking pictures but it will be the end of an era - the construction era and my construction friends are moving on...
