The death of the oven

susandennisI am declaring my oven dead. I've never liked it so I'm not in mourning. It's an ugly 10 year old Kenmore. I really don't cook that much. I used the oven for broiling steak and pork chops. Everything else that needs to get hot does so in the toaster oven or the microwave.
The past few times I've done broiling, the stupid thing has not even tried very hard. So I am declaring it dead.
Tonight I ordered a counter top convection oven to go with my toaster oven. I think I'll be using my dead oven for storage. I hate my dishwasher, too. It's loud and it does a half assed job of of cleaning. Some day (soon, I hope) it will join the oven in appliance heaven.
At that point, I think I'll call in a kitchen designer and do it all over. There's a good guy who has done other kitchens here in this building so at least I know who to call. The rich people who live here have all yanked out their appliances and replaced them. The women who developed these condos did a fabulous job with so many things, but they sure blew it with the appliances.
