susandennisWe do not have a lot of Irish here in the office. One of our Canadians is wearing a green shirt but otherwise, we're pretty St.Patrick's Day free around here. About half the office is Asian - I tried to get Kenny to own up to being Chinese/Irish but he said he tried blue contacts once and that was enough.
Our mail carrier, on the other hand... We have the greatest mail carrier on the planet. His name is Lee and he's wonderful. He says 'you know that line that some people won't cross? well, I stepped over it so long ago, I've forgotten what the other side is like.' He delivers to my house and to my work and if he thinks my home mail might be something I really want, he'll bring it to me at work.
Today he wore green. But, not Irish green, it is a day glow neon green. His shoes were spray painted. His socks had little shamrocks on a green background. His shorts (he wears shorts every day of the year), USPS shirt and undershirt were all dyed neon disco green. As was his belt. And, his hat... He was a sight to see. I am so sorry I didn't have a camera. But, even a photo of that stretched credibility.
He also decorates our post office every year and every holiday. This guy has energy to burn. And we love him.
