What happened to today??

susandennisI just noticed that it is 2 p.m. Where in the world did this day go??
I did install more of the Office 2003 beta - I added Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. So far only Outlook seems to be substantially different and it's pretty slick. Next computer excitement is adding more memory to this one at work. The memory came in today so it will probably go in before I leave. Then it's upgrade time - from Windows 2000 to XP. I've had XP at home since the day it became available but not here. I'm ready. That will probably be tomorrow's task.
I'm redesigning the intranet here at work and it's not too much fun. I built the original intranet from scratch and it was a no fail deal. Everyone was so grateful to at least have something that I won. But, now, it needs an overhaul. And everyone is a web designer. Ugh. It's going to be a long, drawn out deal. I'm designing the first pass now. And, frankly, I need to get a better attitude.
Oh - a bit of Twinkie news... last Fall you may remember I moved my cube from the room where the chattering Twinkies chattered all day to the room where the software engineers do not chatter. I moved to keep from killing the Twinkies and it has worked.
As it turned out, I moved into the cube that my friend BJ used to have when he was in IT. Now he's in sales engineering and sits over by the Twinkies. He's was just over here bitching about them. Between their various opinions on the Academy Awards and the new reality shows, he's had about all he can stand.
He's looking for an excuse to move back over here. I told him to get his eyes off my cube - it was not an option...
