susandennisLJ is nice and perky this morning! My book asp is back in the saddle and operating just fine. Whew. I guess all the code just needed a good night's sleep.
I've been thinking about 4 day work weeks lately. There was a piece on one of the national news shows not long ago about how the 4 day work week had gained popularity a few years ago and has since fallen out of favor. I have not had a raise since I joined this company nearly 2 years ago. I'm thinking a four day work week would work instead of a raise. Maybe.
I'm always in here by 7 - usually by 6:30ish. I eat lunch at my desk while I work (or puruse LJ). I'm out by 4 which is a 9 hour day or 8 if you feel compeled to deduct an hour for lunch. I currently take Friday afternoons off because I can and no one ever told me I couldn't. When I first started the Friday afternoon thing, I fully intended to use up Paid Time Off hours. But, it turns out, our payroll system doesn't, apparently, do partial days too easily so they determined that partial days are free. So if you do deduct an hour for lunch and factor in the half day on Friday, I'm really only working about a 35 hour week anyway. So maybe I'd better conjure up some other scheme.
Or maybe I'd better get off of LJ and on to work today!
