Ok, I'm stumped

For some reason that I cannot understand, the photos that vwaffle posts in his journal will not render in any browser on my home machine. Work is fine. Home is broken images.

When I go for an individual URL like http://www.wonderboymi.com/vwaffle/4091.jpg at work, I get a wonderful picture. At home I get "You don't have permission to access /vwaffle/4091.jpg on this server."

I even disabled my firewall - knowing full well that had nothing to do with it - and it made no difference. I don't get any other broken images - but the ones on his server never render correctly at home. It's making me nuts!

Thanks... I am downloading Netscape now. I'm sure it is an access problem and not a browser one but it won't hurt to try another browser to prove it to me.

Hmmm, that is weird. If you want to make a puzzle, I can email you the image. Just send a note to vanwafxxxfle@sprint.ca, removing the x's.

You guessed it! Puzzle time... I actually did scarf up the pictures at work and mailed them to me so I'm cool on that part. But, it just annoys me that I can't see them here...

I remember it being something with the wrong language setting inside IE. Something with English-US or somthing. I forget.

yeahbutt if it's in IE why can't I see the pix in Netscape? because IE is my default browser? Ok... off to find language something. Thanks for the tip!

Works OK for me on IE and Netscape.
I had a similar problem with audio posts I did. They opened for some and not for others. I really don't know why.
