Lunch with a view

My swag vendor threw a come-see-our-shit luncheon/reception/meet-and-greet and I went. It was at a golf club about 15 minutes from here. I'd never been there before. The drive was like leaving my country and going to another one. Very surreal. A whole lotta trees. It was held at a golf club.

Oh and my car - bought new in 1999 - turned 5,000 miles. That alone was pretty exciting.

The lunch was good and I now have more highlighters than you can shake a stick at. It was a worthwhile thing even without the breathtaking views. My camera could not capture the amazingness of it.

See that little cluster of buildings way off on the right left? That's Seattle. Then the lake is in the middle and Bellvue is almost visable on the left right tucked behind that hill. It was really amazing to see. (And thanks to drolma who spotted the problem with my description all the way from Iceland!)

I'm impressed - Seattle looks like it's comfortable with its environment. danlmarmot has posted some pictures of hiking in the Cascades that are pretty irresistable, too.

I'm pretty sure if you tried to get a panoramic shot of Sydney like this there would be a lot more pollution in the air.

No offence, but aren't you mixing your left and right? Or are the pictures mirrored?

Goes without saying that the view is great. I know next to nothing about Seattle, but doesn't it look deceptively small?

And yes, Seattle looks teensy! The distance between Seattle and Bellevue is about 20 miles and I was about 25 miles away from both.
