I got nearly nothing to bitch about. I mean it. Really. My life is fine as a stand alone and fabulous when you start comparing it to nearly anyone else's. And yet about 6 times an hour I bump up on something else to whine about or get annoyed about or pissed over.

Is it like I have a bitch quota? I must encounter X number of annoying things in Y number of hours or I get cooties?? What is it?

Several weeks ago [livejournal.com profile] pheon had an entry about a Myers-Brigg-ish survey and I clicked on the link. I answered all the questions and learned that I was in a group of people who:

..."are squarely on the side of rules and procedures, and they can be quite serious about seeing to it that others toe the mark - or else face the consequences. They do not hesitate to give their stamp of approval, nor do they withhold their directions or suggestions for improvement. Like seasoned, stalwart umpires, [these people] will set their jaw and make the call on anyone who steps up to bat. They even feel obligated to do so, and they’re sometimes surprised when others don’t seem grateful for being set straight."

I've taken these kinds of tests before and have long known that I was not the kind of person who loves small children, love poems or anything that remotely resembles Laura Ashley anything. But either the words, the points, the timing of this little report or all three combined really have gotten under my skin.

Before I read that little piece, I never gave a second thought to shaing my insights with the fools and idiots who surround me and make me crazy. Well, I wasn't quite that bad but probably close. Now, I am refraining from helping them change. This is so not easy and it is creating a backup - kind of like a clog in the plumbing, I think.

I think the backup is what's creating the bitch quota.

I need to not give in. Somehow I need to drain those pipes and move along. I also think I may have hit my metaphor maximum here so I'm stopping now...
