A friend who lives in San Diego but has a condo down the hall popped in unannounced about 5:30 and proceeded to stay until 7 p.m. when I finally told her I had to take the trash down before the ballgame. She had dinner reservations at 8 so she would have hung around until then, I'm sure.
When did she think I was going to eat dinner? When someone is sitting in your living room at the end of the day and you offer neither food or drink or even look like you might and spend most of the time standing up leaning against the counter, isn't that a clue?
Here I was earlier fretting about being mean and rude to people - apparently, I'm not quite as mean and rude as I need to be.
I can say this - never, not once, has any of my LJ friends ever kept me from dinner, stayed too long uninvited, or even popped in unannounced. You guys rock.
I did not take the garbage down... my housecleaner is coming tomorrow.... Yahoo!
