Dutiful Daughter

susandennisThe first Thanksgiving after Daddy died (1999), I went to spend the holiday with Mom.That started a tradition that seems pretty unstoppable. I tried this week - gave it a minor stab:
Me: "if you want to take a year off and do something else, my feelings won't be hurt..."
Mom: "NO! I already have a list of computer questions and now I have a list of TIVO questions!! Please come."
Oh well. It won't kill me. And it's free. She offers her frequent flyer miles which she won't ever use and I graciously accept. I made the reservations today. Granted, I don't ever go anywhere much but today was the first time I'd ever seen a flight listed with "food for purchase". I was able to get decent flights. Only one plane change either way.
I am a good daughter but not good enough to do Christmas.
