It's a conspiracy???
Jul. 23rd, 2003 09:17 amI got up extra early today to get in here and finish off this fucking mail campgain. I got in and got it done. The last envelope stuffed, licked and stamped. Before 8. And then I noticed that my computer said it was Tuesday. Hmmmm.
Every morning my webserver (the local intranet one) sends me an email telling me what the traffic was in the previous 24 hours. Usually, the number is 400-500 (hits, not users). This morning it was 1. I looked at the timeframe and it said that the traffic had been measured from 7:59 a.m. on July 22 til 8 a.m. on July 22. That's quite helpful.
Also every morning I get a file from our customer log that I then just toss into a folder. I have some script that then makes the file available on the intranet. This morning. No file.
Then I look and my computer thinks it's Tuesday. The time is correct. But it lost a day. Exactly 24 hours. hmmmmm. Time for a reboot? Okdokey.
Now when it comes back, I've lost access to the network. Reboot gain. Now I've got access to everything but the drives I have mapped to the intranet web server are not working but the intranet is fine.
None of this is critical. It was all fixed within minutes of discovering it. But, I don't like being messed with... My eye is now peeled for the perpetraitor. Who is crazy enough to try and fuck with me?
