Waiting... waiting...

I'm up and ready to go but it's too early.

I have a car full of stuff for Goodwill but they don't open until 9. It's not yet 8. I'm thinking of doing a little MacDonald's for breakfast but I'm not thinking it will be the kind of breakfast one wants to linger over to the tune of more than an hour.

I do want to get out and get back pretty sharply. There's a baseball game at 1 p.m. Traffic. But, then there's a run that starts and stops here in the 'hood and usually attracks about 7,000 people. And after that there's the annual torchlight parade.

The parade starts up by the Space Needle and winds through town until it gets here - it ends right in the parking lot out my terrace. I generally see the first floats about 9 p.m. It's quite fun.

While I'm generally right here in the condo on most weekends, I absolutely will be today. Cheerfully.

I'm trying not to buy a new camera. I want a Cannon PowerShot A400. I don't need it. At all. And I want the new Treo when it comes out this fall. So no camera. None. Forget it. Don't even think about it unless you win the lottery and, FYI, that ain't going to happen unless you buy a ticket.

Maybe I'll collect all the trash and take that down to the dumpsters....
