Rejecting my Mom

Not me... but Comcast. Mom sent me a note last night that came right back as undeliverable saying that my email address refused her note. She sent another saying that I should act nicer to my Mother. It got through just fine.

This morning she got rejected by me again. This time I investigated. Best I can figure out, one of Comcast's IP's (or more than one probably) has been pegged as a baddass in the spam world and made it to the Big Black List. My email address just will not accept any email from the Big Black List. So Mom gets rejected.

Fortunately, I have the world's most wonderful ISP. It's a local outfit that has been my lifeline for years now and has great customer service. (If you are in the market for a fine fine fine ISP and are in or near Seattle, consider Drizzle, seriously.) I sent them a note with the original blocked message, the message headers, my findings and the mail-abuse.org 'how to fix' link. They will figure it out and let me know.

For now I've got Mom using my Hotmail account which is pretty much invisble to her - she just hit's reply and goes.

She's actually so relieved that the bounced emails are not her fault that she's willing to do whatever...
