Show of hands... how many of you are sick to death of hearing me complain about the heat?? I see one hand. Oh, wait, that's me! I got my electric bill yesterday - I hit a new high last month which isn't surprising since I had the air conditioner running more than ever before. This month will be even more, I'm sure.

Labor Day weekend is the time I put the air conditioner into it's winter closet. NFW this year. There is, according to the 5 day forecast, way more air to condition. ARGGGUH.

Note: tinman - I'm still holding out hope that mid month will bring highs shy of the 70's and lows in the 50s but that's probably optomistic. I'd say mid-70's is closer. I'll keep you posted.

I remember now what I liked about walking. I'm already back in the groove. But, I am going to have to skip three days probably. It looks like it's going to be too hot to walk after work this week. And I've never been able to do anything before work. Even if I got up 30 minutes earlier, I'd just be going into work 30 minutes earlier. It's a kink in my system.

I am still scoping out routes. My friend, Thom, left a comment about having set routes and I so agree. My ideal situation would be a couple of different set routes - walk this way, go this far, come back. But, I just haven't found the best one yet and they will change as it gets cooler and darker anyway.

This morning I did the lower part of the International District. I got a not very good shot of my favorite view in all of Seattle. The International District is across the street from the Pioneer Square area where I live and both are on the far south end of town.

On the north end of town is the Seattle Center built for the Worlds Fair in the 60's and includes the Space Needle. In between is the city center. It's about 2 miles from where I was standing to the Space Needle which you can barely make out in the center.
