If you haven't seen currawong's now famous phobia and phame entry, treat yourself. At the time I first read it, I could not think of a single brush with fame. I saw Joe Namuth (sp?) once and Candice Bergen once but those brushes were really nothing-burgers.

But, tonight I was reading People magazine and I remembered my Real Brush. I went to college with and graduated in the same class with Bill Macy. I made his costume for the Pirates of Penzance and a couple of other productions. And I have the yearbook to prove it. I totally forgot about him until I saw the movie Fargo. Since then, he's hard to miss.

I saw another guy who was in my class was on The Millionaire a couple of years ago. He never made it to the hot seat but I was glad to see he was alive. Last I had seen him was on the night of the first draft lottery. He won and disappeared immediately.

I presume you mean that major heartthrob of mine, William H. Macy. He's one of our favourite actors of all time. I just adored him from the moment I first saw him in 'Happy, Texas' and by the time I saw 'Fargo' I was a complete convert. I'm absolutely under his spell. He seens to turn up now all the time in older movies that I didn't know he was in, the first time. What a great actor he is.

The thought of you measuring William H's inside leg for his pirate costume drives me insane with jealousy. You lucky, lucky girl!

Honey, this was the 60's and the drama department. The guy who ran the productions was really big on costumes so we dressed those guys from skin out. One of the other guys in a lot of productions with Bill (er William H.) was eat up with severe cute and not circumcised. He got most of the attention - just too many reasons to stare (while, of course, pretending to be Tres Kewel).

Had I known that I would need details and photos and stuff 30 years later, I would have them for you, really.

I used to have Appaloosa horses, (back in the early 70's)Bert Reynolds also had Appaloosas at that time In Napa Valley. He was there when he was dating Dina Shore for a golf tournament and we met through a mutual horse friend.

Had a couple of drinks with him. What a hoot.
