susandennisI just love my Friday afternoons off. It's like stolen time... Today I did some chores and uploaded the photos from my stadium tour last week. The stadium I've been taking pictures of every day since it was the Kingdome, is finished today. Amazing. I'm still going to be taking pictures but it's still the end of an era.
Some friends of a guy I know (and not well) in Charleston, SC are in Seattle and called me last week because our mutual friend told them to. They suggested we get together for drinks tonight. I said fine. Then it looked like my neighbor might be able to bring the closet up here tonight and I really didn't want to get dressed and go downtown to meet these people anyway so when they called this afternoon I begged off. He tried hard to cover his relief but wasn't totally successful. Southerners - you gotta love 'em.
I made huge headway in my domain name project. I finally got the last of the domain names under my name. I feel like I've been trying to get to this point since I was in first grade. I only have a few more, now very doable, steps in the project and I'm done. Whew.
Then, this afternoon, I got an email from an old, old client from way back in my website designer business days. One of his domain names is up for renewal and my name is still on it with an old, no-longer-accessible email address. Deja vu... Only this time it's his problem. The domain name is with NetworkSolutions/Verisign. No way am I jumping back into that spider web. I told him to get whatever paperwork he needed me to sign together and get it to me and I'd sign it and fax it but that's it. I'm not going through that again. It's not even a domain name he's ever used.
