A devistating discovery
Sep. 14th, 2003 08:27 amI am really enjoying my walking. I can already walk substantially farther and faster than when I started just a few weeks ago. I walk to tapes of music that has been designed to provide metered beats for walking. I go until the first side is done - 30 minutes and then flip it over and come home. It's like having auto pilot.
If I go north along the waterfront, 30 minutes gets me down to the other side of the big ships dock. It's a great walk with lots to see and very pretty. BUT, it has a trick at the end... MacDonald's lies in the way. After MacDonald's it's about 10 more minutes home. Of course, I could keep it down to one sausage biscuit.
So this morning, I decided to go do the full walk to the south, past the Mariner stadium - at the 30 minute mark, I hit disaster. Right there is the cleared ground (footings already poured) of the new home of Krispy Kreme.
I am fucking doomed. I believe I mentioned yesterday that God is a prankster. I am now ready to tesitify.
