Waiting

Albertson's should be here any time now with my groceries. I needed heavy stuff so I indulged myself in a delivery. The last guy volunteered to even put the heaviest stuff away for me... Well worth the $10 in my book. My slot is 10-11:30.

I got notice last night that one of my books on Half.Com sold and the buyer wanted expedited shipping. I could have waited until my own post office opens on Monday but I figure if she was willing to pay extra, she wanted it fast. So I hiked over to the International District's p.o. that is open on Saturday and popped it into the mail. She'll have it on Monday and I hope be tickled by the fast delivery.

I've been reading about the guy in France who's Mother helped him end his life. I am a firm believer in euthanasia for any and all living creatures. I also believe that my life is my own to do with as I please. Period. If I decide to end it tomorrow for any reason at all, it should be my entire right to do so. If I need help because I am unable to physically do it myself, I should be able to get that help. And it should be nobody else's business at all.

I am reading a novel now by one of my favorite authors - John Gilstrap. In the book, a guy survives a plane crash in the middle of Utah and is now living in the snow while the other characters in the book look for him. Gilstrap is so good that I have been reading chapters just to cool off. (Yes, it's hot here again... sigh.)

I was reading it late into last night. This morning as I was reading the morning paper, I was about half way through it when I thought 'wonder why there isn't any mention of that guy who's lost in Utah?' ooops. Getting a little too far into it, are we?

I watched the U.S. Coupling last night and had a really hard time with it. It was hard to figure out who the characters were. Susan looked like the British Jane and Sally resembled the British Susan and Patrick and Steve didn't look like anybody. It was hard to get it straight. I will say that the U.S. Jeff is good.

The groceries just came - everything I ordered - perfectly. They have been mostly put away. See this butt? See that chair? Watch as I make them kiss. Webcam on as usual if you don't believe me.
