Turns out Betty thinks she lives with kjaz where the time never changes! 5 a.m. this morning she's doing her breakfast-time dance on my face. She is pretty darned confused about why she had to wait an hour. (Jake is far more efficient. He gets up when he hears the food being served - not one minute before.)

MSNBC has been delivering my little news alerts for years now. It sits in my systray and polls the news. When it gets something it thinks I like it quietly blinks until I click on it. Of course, now, it is being morphed into a MS Messenger tool and I don't want MS Messenger on my machines. I use Trillian at work and I don't IM at home and don't want to. I don't really like Trillian's news plug in. I don't like tickers. When there is news, just flash me. Otherwise, be invisible. Sigh.
