My housecleaner comes tomorrow and then again in two weeks and then that's it. She's moving to California (I'm pretty sure it was an Arnold-independant decision). I'm sorry that I won't have a clean house but I'm ready for her to move on. Having her lately has been kind of stressful - will she come or won't she? If so when... etc.

She's been cleaning my house every two weeks for the better part of six years now. Hard to believe it's been that long. She quit for several months earlier this year and I managed ok. Or I thought it was ok until she came back.

But, I'll do better this time. I promise.

The good news is that she is coming tomorrow because I have company coming Friday. My roommate from college. She's been here before but not for several years. Since her last visit, she's ditched her husband in a very bitter separation. It's been a bit a struggle for me as far as support is concerned because I like him - always have - knew him before her - introduced him. And, for 25 years he's done all right as a husband and now he is the scum of the earth.

Oh well, it's only for a weekend. Maybe I can steer the conversation to other things. Hopefully.

But, at least the house will be clean!

Good Lord! Why would anyone move TO Kalifornia? If she were a software sort perhaps we could swap? But I guess she isn't :-(

If you need someone, I know someone who is looking to do a little housework once or twice a week for a little cash....
Not professional, jsut a friends thing :-)

I could see moving OUT of California as an Arnold-dependent decision. ;-)

Susan, don't torture yourself. Paying my cleaning team is the smartest move I make, considering how much joy I get from having a really clean house and not getting irritated at doing it myself, which I am bad at.

If you can swing it and you don't like cleaning, I'd say find a new cleaner.
