Not a bad way to start

I must check my biorhythms or horoscope or something because today is clearly a money day. And, a good one, as it turns out.

I just got a note from The Guy Who Owes Me saying that he has accepted my offer to settle out of court. He's sending me a check for $3,000 tomorrow and thereafter will send me a check for $60 a month until the rest is paid!!!

He also kind of apologized. I'm delighted to get the $$ plus I spent some time at the county website today investigating small claims court and that was looking like it was going to be a bit messy. I'm happy not to have to mess with it.

I had thought that if he paid, I'd use some of the money to buy one of those nice, big, flat panel displays. Kenny ordered one for me for work and if it's really fabulous, I still might get me one but I'm going to at least wait until I see the one work one before I spend the cash. As it turns out, there is a lot of room for spare bucks in my Money Market account so I think I'll rest it there a spell.
