Random thots and stuff
Nov. 13th, 2003 02:48 pmI am kind of surprised that my gay friends have not risen up in ire and indignation (first cousins to shock and awe) over the very idea of Prince Charles being one of theirs. I mean really... the guy is just bad for the cause, doncha think? He's got nothing - he looks like a dog (apologies to dogs everywhere), he has zero charisma, no style, waining hair and he's getting worse with age. He does have family drama but that can only carry you so far.

I have been thinking forever that the closure of Half.Com was at the end of the year. I popped over there today to see what was on my wish list and if any of the prices had dropped to within my range and checked the date. I was wrong! It is, apparently, not closing until next Summer! Reprieve!

Our condo is fighting over dogs and it's pretty hilarious. Condo owners and bridge players... I've been a card carrying member of both groups for years and years and I'm here to tell you they are not the kind of people you really want to be around. Throw that into the fire with dog issues and stand back, Sally. We have a condo rule that says no pet may weigh more than 35 pounds. We have dogs way bigger than that living there now and always have. Someone got a wild hair up their ass to start enforcing the 35 pound rule with new owners. The first ones to hit the rule raised a huge stink and the dog shit began to fly.
We now have a motion to amend the rules. I got it in the mail today. It takes a 65% vote of the ownership to make such an amendment. We couldn't get 67% of the ownership to agree to accept lottery winnings. This is going to be ugly.

I discovered that TiVo does not have Boston Public scheduled for this week or next week and I hit the TV panic button. I love that show. This year many have said that it is going down hill but I just don't see it. Nearly every episode makes me laugh out loud or cry. I checked their website and it says the next new episode airs December 6. Whew.

Mom sent me a TiVo help request today. It seems that she is madly in love with Andy Roddick (tennis player) and he was on Saturday Night Live (which, in her note she called SNL which cracked me up because I'll bet she read it that way somewhere and hasn't a clue what SNL stands for) and she missed it. She wanted to know how to make TiVo record every single show Andy Roddick is on. She was very close to figuring it out. She had found out how to set it to record actors and actresses but she couldn't find the list of tennis players. She often amazes me.

I have about another hour at work and I really had better pretend like I am earning my keep.
