I'm not a newspaper junkie (or at least I'm in denial)... I get a Seattle paper delivered every morning and read it cover to cover. In addition, on Fridays, I treat myself to a USA Today. On Saturdays, I treat myself to the other Seattle daily paper as well.
Today's two Seattle dailies had a good journalism class exercise. One reported that starting in January, there will be no more food service on the state ferries. The other paper says that food service on the ferries is in jeopardy.
Currently, on the ferries which generally involve rides of 1/2 to 1 hour to get from here to there (depending on which there), they have a fairly full food service - hot food, coffee, and all kinds of excellent treats. Both papers agree that the vendor that provides the food service is not happy and has given pink slips to all ferry employees. But the tone of the reporting is very different and the conclusions drawn is pretty opposite. Interesting.

When I left for my walk this morning it was beginning a very light drizzle. Shortly thereafter the drizzle picked up steam, so to speak. An hour later when I got home, I was pretty soaked. I must remember to take a baggie for my Treo. I can't imagine wet is good for it.
But, as far as walking weather is concerned, a drizzle is wonderful. It guarantees cool. I walked extra far this morning just because it was such good walking weather.

The Treo uses an SD (secure digital) card for music. I have two 256mb cards. I need more room and have been considering buying a 512 card. I found one today for $150. And I didn't buy it. I don't really need it. I can erase and replace the stuff on the two cards I have. There has to be a limit to the amount of tech toys and accessories even I splurge on. And I think maybe I found it.

My current afghan is at the perfect stage. It is now long enough to drape over my legs and keep them warm while I'm working on it. I have Bend it Like Beckam to watch and another Sex in the City DVD plus TiVo. Logs for the fireplace. Things are good.
