Sunday Ramblings
Nov. 30th, 2003 10:23 amTop on my list of things to do today is send healing thoughts to
ruralrob who I just found out is in the hospital with whatever it is he caught recently. I'm worried and wish he were home taking pictures and sending Nanookville news.
And also,
pookfreak sounds like she could use some really healing thoughts, too!
I am so grateful to get LJ updates. It's very thoughtful of people to make sure that their LJ friends are kept posted when things happen. I worry about that for me. But, at least now I can send and update myself from Treo via email if I'm stuck somewhere.
While I was gone to South Carolina, winter came to Seattle. The rest of the leaves fell off the trees. I still get kind of a jolt when I see something that has always been there but has been obscured since last Spring by leaves. This morning it was a sculpture by the waterfront that I had forgotten about. And from my terrace it's the northwest entrance to the football stadium.
There was frost on the piers. I was going out to the end of one to catch a row of fishermen but about two steps onto the frozen boards of the pier in my walking shoes told me that I was going to be on my ample ass by the time I got close enough to take the shot. So I settled for one fisherman and retreated to the sidewalk. ![]()
The Seahawks are playing at home again today. They are 6-0 at home the excitement escalates with every game. Today it is football chilly and the sun is out. If they win today, the neighborhood had better have its seatbelt fastened.
If you need me, I'll be in my chair working on the latest afghan and watch tv. My perfect Sunday.
