Excused Absence

Today starts two days of the quarterly sales meeting at work. This meeting is always painfully horrible for me. It's two days of listening to marketing people spout shit and sales people ask stupid questions about the marketing people's shit. (Yeah, I am in marketing but my job is to take their shit and make it look nice... I'm not in shit development, I'm in shit packaging.)

But, I am a one-man-band in charge of getting 150 paperweight magnets - individualized with the names of the 8 companies involved and different letters to each of the 20+people in each company - all put together, sorted out, labeled and sent out via FedEx by Friday.

So I will be unable to attend the sales meeting this time. I am wallowing in the joy of that.

There is a company meeting that kicks it off this morning. I do have to go to that. Then it's back here for hand addressing envelopes, collating, folding stuffing, packaging... etc. etc. etc. There may be some cellphone photos involved.

Keep the cell phones away from the magnets. I think that can't be a good thing.

I can't imagine doing all that without some pictures for sure.
PS How do I reach your pictures? I couldn't find it from your website.

I know... I need to get a link to the phone pix on the website. I will, this weekend, I promise. There is one on my LJ page, but it's not enough...

But, yes, I have been documenting the magnet project mainly because my manager is on vacation and I want her to see all that went in to it. So I'll be making a page... and, of course, I'll post a link cause I'm a sharer.
