I use the Semagic client for nearly all my entries.. I also use it, often to compose comments which I then copy and paste into the web page.

Last Summer or earlier there was a version of Semagic which downloaded all of my entries and put them into a nice HTML page for me. They quickly withdrew that version because the masses all tried to suck out their entries at the same time. But, I love the feature so I hung on to mine. I sync up about once a month or so and mainly just use it for searching for when stuff happened or when I said stuff.

There have been many updates since that version and I've ignored them all. But, since I am going to wipe out this computer at work, I decided to give the latest a try. It's labeled 'test' but seems to be working fine. The release notes allude to comment formating but I can't seem to noodle out how that happens. And I can't find anything too exciting about the other features so I think I'm sticking with the old version for now.

I'm having a little problem getting through to the end of this job. There is no reason to have anything bug me about anything going on here. "It will all be over soon" should be my mantra. I really need to adopt that. Really.

We have 5 different email addresses on our corporate website. They all come to me. They all got hit with the virus going around yesterday. All I had to do was delete... but poor Kenny... All afternoon yesterday he had a steady stream of people at his desk trying to explain why clicking on the attachment seemed appropriate at the time.

They fired an admin here last week and are madly now trying to replace her. The office manager interviewed 4 people yesterday. One was a clear loser. But she was really hopeful about the other two. She asked them to send her a short sample of their writing - like maybe just a thank-you-for-the-interview email.

None of them caught that PAR3 Communications is NOT Par3 Communications. This is a huge deal around here.

One also had two misspelled words in one paragraph - even the worst spellcheck could have caught them both. One had a misspelling and three grammatical errors and managed to squeeze 1 paragraph of content into 7 full paragraphs. The other one said that she enjoyed meeting the staff at Par3 and looked forward to hopefully working with the great people at the hospital... hospital?????

Yes, we do have high unemployment in Washington State. I don't think, however, that that is any reflection of the job openings. I'm sorry but it sure looks like it is more a statement of the skill set in the available workforce????

I'm so ready for baseball.
