What a fun day!
Feb. 10th, 2004 04:43 pmI fiddled around this morning until I really didn't get anything done. Oh, wait, I got the car cleaned of clutter AND found my ABBA cd. Now, that's pretty productive, I think.
Then it was off to lunch at Fran's. She lives in a very cool house in a neighborhood I'd never been much. Lunch was delicious! Turns out one of the grocery stores here has sliced turkey - from a real bird that once had feathers! I mean real turkey. It was good. With avacado.
Then we drove around a bit to some other neighborhood and then got out and walked around. I snapped some pictures that didn't come out really well. I should have taken the good camera. A few weeks ago, Fran was walking around and passed a guy walking his horse! So we went to see the horse. Now this is in the middle of the city, mind you. It's a small horse. Smaller than a pony but bigger than what I thought miniature horses are...

The top of his back was about at my waist and I'm 5'5". He was in this nice big yard with lots of shade and lots of sun and trees and stuff with what Fran thinks is a goat. It's a really really big goat and kind of had a funny shaped head with floppy ears. On the house next to the yard was a framed letter from the city of Seattle allowing as how it was ok to have non-standard city animals there. I'd love to know the story.
It was all in all a wonderful afternoon. Fran says we can do it again and I'm holding her to that.
So far unemployment totally rocks.
