I walked a new path this morning. I went south along the waterfront - really desolate. There is a huge Coast Guard installation and then some container ports and then a lot of nothing - it was gray and dull and gritty and uggy. I got some pictures but this one sums it up pretty well.

I got nothing going on today. Nothing. Or tomorrow or Wednesday. Thursday and Friday there are baseball games to listen to on the radio but between now and then the calendar is blank.

I would like to organize my pitiful MP3, CD music collection - as in get them all into one place, labeled and sorted. This won't take long but I'd like to get it done.

The next task is the computer. There is a lot o' shit on this thing that needs to get trashed. And it could stand a good tuning and there is one little program I use very occasionally but really love that I cannot find. I want to find it. And, we need to do some backups of stuff.

I think I have the time.

The worry du jour is a check that is missing. I mailed it to the credit union last Thursday. It should have shown up in my account last Friday. It ain't there. Plus, I mailed another one on Saturday and now I'm even worried about it. I've been mailing money to this credit union now for 10 years without a failure. Now, when cash is tight, the damn stuff goes missing. Makes me a little crazy, ya know? If it doesn't show up by mid-afternoon, I'm going to call even though I know they will tell me to wait and see.

Some neighbors downstairs are gutting out their unit and redoing it all which is what I would dearly love to do. Today they are getting deliveries of big stuff... a huge fridge just went in. I'm watching it on our tv station that shows the front door. I may have to go down there to their unit and check out the deal personally.
