So my housecleaner was supposed to come today for the last time. Last night, I put away stuff to get ready and throught that the place really needs a good cleaning and I'm glad I have one last time.

Then, I'm sound asleep because it's 10:30 p.m. and the phone rings. It's the housecleaner with what would have been a very long and involved story about why she wasn't coming today except I cut her off and asked her to just return the key before she left town. I'm trying to work on the positive side:

  • I won't have to give her the recommendation she asked for in which I really lied and now I won't have to feel guilty about misleading some potential employee into believing he can really count on her to show up.

  • I saved myself $70.

On the other hand, I will now never ever probably find the frying pan she "put away" in some mysterious place.

So, guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend...

You need my friend DLANOR to come over with his kick ass metal detector. If anyone could find that frying pan he could.

I do that a lot for the young ones that work for me: lie I think I am going to stop feeling sorry and warn them though. Why reward bad behaivor and why the hell can't these people realize what it means to be reliable?

Gee, I think perhaps you should have her come over to return your key, WHILE YOU ARE HOME....and FIND that frying pan before she leaves.

I just can't make myself get a housecleaner. They make way too much money. I already have a pool guy that I barter with so don't have to give him cash, just billing.

I would love having a housekeeper, but just can't make myself pay for one. I really should get over that I think.

LOL, if it only took a frying pan, I't have a housecleaner right now. I am lucky because hubby helps with the floors.

I figure if you can't see it, it must not be dirty.
