Not a happy camper
Oct. 22nd, 2003 07:20 amSo my housecleaner was supposed to come today for the last time. Last night, I put away stuff to get ready and throught that the place really needs a good cleaning and I'm glad I have one last time.
Then, I'm sound asleep because it's 10:30 p.m. and the phone rings. It's the housecleaner with what would have been a very long and involved story about why she wasn't coming today except I cut her off and asked her to just return the key before she left town. I'm trying to work on the positive side:
- I won't have to give her the recommendation she asked for in which I really lied and now I won't have to feel guilty about misleading some potential employee into believing he can really count on her to show up.
- I saved myself $70.
On the other hand, I will now never ever probably find the frying pan she "put away" in some mysterious place.
So, guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend...
