This morning I got up earlier to catch the first bus. It was pouring down rain and the first bus either got there 10 minutes before it was schedule to and left or never showed up. So I got to stand in the rain for 30 minutes in the dark. At least it wasn't cold. And I was still way early to work so it wasn't even fatal. I want that early bus so I will try again tomorrow. Sigh.

Yesterday I got an email at work from a woman I worked with 2 jobs ago. She said "I am sitting in my office eating lunch and think – I wonder what Susan is up to – go out to your site and find that you are back at MS!!!!!" She went to work for Microsoft right after our other company folded. We had swapped notes a few times but not much. I was very tickled and extremely flattered that she went to the trouble to find me.

Our follow up notes revealed that since I saw her last - 3 years ago - she has lost 210 pounds. I cannot imagine. And I cannot wait to see what she looks like. She says I won't recognize her and I'll bet she's right. 210 pounds is more than all of me and there is a whole lotta me! Wow.

Last night the Mariners game was on TV. It ended in a tie. How wrong is that? Baseball is not suppose to end in a tie. But it's a Spring training game and the managers agreed no more than 10 innings. I'm ready now for the real season.

Last week, [livejournal.com profile] currawong mentioned that he had had a series of really bad sties. I made a hasty comment about how I used to get them and now don't except for the occasional ity bity one. So, naturally, last night my contact lens started giving me trouble. When I went to take it out I discovered my very own small but ugly sty in the eye that needs the contact lens. I crammed it full of sty cream and this morning it is much better. At least it doesn't hurt any more. But, I was hesitant to piss it off with a contact so it's a spectical day.

One luxury with coming in early is that I feel free to take breaks during the day as work allows... But, now it 's time for this one to be over...
