The usual bits
May. 4th, 2004 11:20 amSo... turns out I was wrong... The decision to dump Law and Order SVU hasn't been made yet. It could still survive in addition to the new L&O addition. AND, the latest rumor is that Dennis Farina will slip into Jerry Orbach's L&O desk while Jerry/Lenny move over to the new L&O. I would like all of these rumors to be true, please.
The new TV lineups for Fall are going to be announced in the next couple of weeks. I don't think I want to know.
Oh and I did forget one TV note and that's The Guardian. I have such a love/hate relationship with this show. It sits in my Tivo list iwaiting patiently while I watch ER and Friends and Gilmore Girls and L&O (even repeats) and West Wing and all the rest. It sits there patiently waiting for me. And finally I watch. And I am sucked in and repelled at the same time.
Nick Fallon is one of the hunkiest pieces of shit walking the earth (and don't even get me started on the actor himself - he's so pretty and sexy sounding and such a jerk - at least on talk shows). And who the hell cares about LuLu. Alvin is a mess. I cannot figure out why I am so sucked into the thing.
The same rumor mill referenced above says Return of The Guardian is up in the air...
And I am really going to miss Boston Public. Smell this shoe!!

I just read in

My new jeans rock.

My Mom has this great doctor. He's probably 50 years old and not a huge guy and really really nice. For the past few years his basic outlook on Mom is that he has no clue why she is still even going. Her heart is shot. Her lungs barely work. Her many strokes over the years have contributed to her lack of steadiness on her feet. He told me when they put in her pacemaker four years ago that he didn't really think she'd live long enough to see much benefit.
Last week she did something to her knee (week before last it was gout in her thumb - the week before that she had an issue with a corner of the kitchen counter that ripped a hole in her arm - and she's on so much blood thinner that it's amazing she didn't just expire right there). Today she went in for her regular checkup.
Here's her report:
"He called me feisty. He said he bets I've always been feisty. I need to look up feisty but I need lunch more. Later."
I think when she looks up feisty she'll see that the illustration is a picture of her!

The Mariners play Minnesota tonight at home. I'm afraid to watch. But we all know I will...
