My manager saw my elephant ankle last week and asked me about it and I assured him that unless it was fatal, it wouldn't be a problem. Today he asked me about it and I looked to see that the right one (last week's elephant) was completely back to normal but the left one is a little hefty. Not elephant but not svelte. I think it's nice of them to trade off.

I just got an email from my yarn place. I order pretty much all my yarn from one place (because they have the biggest selection of the kind of yarn my afghans need and at the best price). I am addicted to this one kind of knitting needle. They are pricey but they are wonderful. A few years ago I kept breaking them so I contacted the manufacturer to complain and they told me that the needles were guaranteed for life. Last week I broke mine again (I do have backup, thankfully) so I sent to my yarn place (where I bought it) and asked for a replacement. I just got the email that the replacement has been shipped. Nice.

The cleaning people are coming on Saturday. The outfit is called Mrs. Clean and the person I swapped emails with on Friday seemed pretty sharp. The last email I sent on Friday evening said 'I'm ready to book a cleaning, please call me to discuss date and time." No call. Finally this morning I get a call from a guy who turns out to be the same person I was swapping emails with. He should stick to emails. He's pretty offensive on the phone. Not too bright and not too quick and referred to the people who were coming to do the actual cleaning as 'girls'. I think I'd be happier had I hired adult workers.

But, I'll give them a shot. See what happens. The twerp said they would be at my house between 'about 11 or 12'. I gotta come up with a get-outta-there plan for a couple of hours. Maybe Costco?

I finally remembered today to take the Roadside Assistance off my cellphone bill. I added the $4 a month charge in March when it looked like I was going to drive to work. Since I'm in the car now less than I was before I took the job, I've been meaning to take it off. Today I did, thank you.
