The gift of an hour.
Oct. 26th, 2003 10:03 amI forget this every year but the day we return from Daylight Savings is always just a treat. It seems like there is way more than just one hour involved in the thing. Everytime I look at the clock I get tickled all over again about how much of the day I still have left.
This morning's walk was in total daylight which was fun. I am so lucky to have so much interesting and flat land to explore. And I finally figured out how to manage the Pocket Tunes. There's a setting to have it automatically stop after x minutes so I just set it to 30. When it goes off, I know it's time to head home and I turn it back on and start the homeward jaunt.
Many of the clocks i have now adjust themselves. But one that doesn't is the coffee pot. Going off an hour early isn't a problem since it drips into a thermos but in the Spring I always get caught. And the stove/micro clock needs attention as well as my little pile of cheap watches. I think I never got around to changing the car clock so it should be fine.
It's just so fun to have all this extra time.
