I forget this every year but the day we return from Daylight Savings is always just a treat. It seems like there is way more than just one hour involved in the thing. Everytime I look at the clock I get tickled all over again about how much of the day I still have left.

This morning's walk was in total daylight which was fun. I am so lucky to have so much interesting and flat land to explore. And I finally figured out how to manage the Pocket Tunes. There's a setting to have it automatically stop after x minutes so I just set it to 30. When it goes off, I know it's time to head home and I turn it back on and start the homeward jaunt.

Many of the clocks i have now adjust themselves. But one that doesn't is the coffee pot. Going off an hour early isn't a problem since it drips into a thermos but in the Spring I always get caught. And the stove/micro clock needs attention as well as my little pile of cheap watches. I think I never got around to changing the car clock so it should be fine.

It's just so fun to have all this extra time.

Like a little bonus, I love it. I like it better now that I got rid of my annoying clock collection. I still have lots but most are really nice and I like them

My car is surprisingly easy to change.

Back when I was in college (not quite the horse & buggy era, but close) I used to think that it was just backwards to get an extra hour in October (early in the term, who needs it?) and lose one in April (term papers due, finals coming up).

But the extra hour last night came in very handy, since John actually had to get up to go somewhere this morning.
