Wrapping up

My knee is getting better already. I found some stuff in my drawer of medical stuff. It's a cream for burns and scrapes that I bought when I was in New Zealand. This makes it at least 10 years old but it worked like a charm. Ya gotta love those Kiwis.

Mom's Tivo looks like it might be healed once again. I bitch and moan and get so frustrated but she tries so hard to be easy to help and she really is. Tivo was giving her a long, convoluted message. Her Tivo is as far away from her computer as possible and yet, tonight - after I told her not to bother - she copied the thing off the tv and then took it into the computer and typed it all out. And it was a huge help in noodling out the problem.

Having spent many a year being the person people asked for help and after spending many a month eavesdropping on Kenny - our IT person at my last job, I know how many many people do not know or understand or appreciate the value of helping their helper. They would rather give you 3 of the 7 key clues to the problem and then blame you when it's not solved.

But, Mom... she'll do everything in her power to help you help her. Bless her little old heart.
