More bits and pieces

I ordered groceries from Safeway to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. I had thought that their delivery charge was less than that of the only other similar service we have here in town (Albertson's) but it is the same. I did get $10 off cause it was my first order. I like their website better than Albertson's but their selection of stuff isn't as good and it seems to me their overall prices are higher.

I would have used them sooner but I was waiting for Albertson's to screw up and they haven't. Oh well. I do need to go back into my order and add toothpaste.

I think I had a heart attack last night. My chest was really uncomfortable and I just felt really strange for about 30 minutes. But, I went to bed and woke up this morning feeling fine and dandy. Apparently, if it was a heart attack, it wasn't fatal.

More puzzles coming this weekend. I am just pre-announcing because I'm pretty sure melodysk is wondering what the deal is on new additions. That's the deal.

Just watching the commercials and only the parts that I see before I hit FF, I have had enough information about Elizabeth Smart and about Jessica Lynch. I'm sufficient on those two subjects.

I'm not happy about losing The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire. They had at least one truly remarkable episode and others that were excellent. There were only a couple of us watching it but we are better people because we did, I really believe.

I have not watched a Netflix DVD in forever. I'm paying every month and those suckers are gathering dust. I need to cancel or watch. I'm thinking as soon as November sweeps is done, we'll be in rerun city or Christmas Peanut Specials. So I'll likely hang onto the subscription until January at least.

Ha! Puzzles are a comin' and we've got some great ones this time.

And, no, nothing from the rat. He has until Wednesday to pay up or Thursday I go fill out the court papers (we have this cool kind of citizen court for collecting amounts under $4,000... it cost $21 to file a claim and no lawyers are allowed...) Stay tuned!

Thanks but it's ok... I don't do doctors (with full understanding and acceptance of the ramifications). It was probably just too many cookies.

I haven't read anywhere that CBS has 'cancelled' the show but I have read that they have stopped production and the TV pundits (how hilarious is that phrase) are saying it is no more.

Darn, darn, darn! I had that sinking feeling last night when it wasn't on my program guide, but I hadn't heard anything said about stopping production. :-(

I really liked this show. I mean, Mare Winningham and Randy Quaid are such a wonderfully mismatched couple. And I liked the small town aspect of it.

The same thing happened last year with Prosidio Med. It just vanished a few weeks into the season.

Well dang. I wastched it. I think Boomtown is cancelled too and that was another show I liked.

But Everybody Loves Raymond will stay on forever...bleah.

I agree...and I'm not one to go running to a doctor, believe me. But if it does happen again, you might want to consider it. Stress can do weird things to you as well.

I'm with you on the Netflix. Although, on the whole I still make out better paying the flat fee and not worrying about late fees or rushing to finish a DVD. Some months I keep the month flowing with shipments to and from, others a few sit here.

And I'm being blessedly silent on the chest pain incident.

What kind of cookies???
