Reservations for Thanksgiving

I successfully ducked the mid-year Visit To Mom's.  But there's no getting out of Thanksgiving.  So I decided today I'd better get on the reservations stick.  Problem is the major airline flying into Charleston is US Airways.  And the question is will they still be in operation in November? 

Mom wants me to use her US Airways frequent flyers miles but, naturally, I'd have to leave in October and come back in January to get a seat using them.  So I think it's going to be shell out the cash time.  I can leave here on the red eye the Saturday before Thanksgiving and come back at a decent hour the next Saturday.  They do have those seats available for $500 round trip.  That wouldn't be too bad.  Unless they went under between now and then.

United and Delta and Continental each have a flight into there but the connections you have to make from Seattle suck the big one.  No way am I flying into someplace else and driving.  I think I'm going to deal with this next week.
