kjaz wins. I just checked and sure enough, as bad as the Mariners are this year, his Diamond Backs are even worse. It's a sad baseball year for sure. Our game just started in St. Louis. That is a very hot and sweaty town. It's actually pretty cool here in Seattle today but just watching this game may cause me to have to turn on the air conditoner. I cannot believe all those people sitting out there in that hot humid sun.

I laid around in bed this morning and listened to NPR. I got my coffee and took the newspaper back to bed with me and just enjoyed it all. It was luxurious.

Then I made a quick grocery run. My lotioned Puffs tissues supply is now healthy again. Plus I got some ice cream sandwiches. Although I have to say it was really hard to find ones that weren't marked 'fat free' or 'low carb' or some other abberation. Grocery stores are going to soon have to have a special aisle for people who want real food.

There was no traffic to speak of and not too many people on the streets. The Ethiopians finally wound up their week long celebration outside the football stadium. Today is a day of Hispanic soccer. I hope they wind up their day with fireworks!
We have fireworks all over Seattle but since our days are so long, they don't start until after 10 p.m. For a couple of years I walked down to the water front and watched the ones they shoot off a barge in Elliott Bay. But, now by the time it's time to leave the house, I'm ready for bed. I usually go to sleep hearing them.

I watched the first two episodes from this season's Nip/Tuck. That's some great TV.
