I know I've written this entry before.

It's too hot for humans.  On the agenda for today is to add a book to the book review page, do the laundry, watch the ballgame, knit the latest pair of socks...  I should just call this entry #278.  Next Sunday, I can just post #278 and everyone will be able to keep up just fine without having to read the same shit over and over again...  The heat is frying my attitude.

On the upside, Lean Hansen is not on NPR's Weekend Edition this morning.  She has really started to fray my last nerve and I love her vacations.

And, speaking of NPR, I caught Sarah Vowell on Jon Stewart Tivo'd from last week.  Thanks to henare I finally have a name to put with that fabulous voice that has brought me many smiles.  She is a staple on one of our wonderful NPR shows - This American Life.  She tells wonderful stories in a high pitched flat voice - every word dripping with irony.  She and Jon Stewart are one hilarious couple.  I'd love to see an hour of just them.  (Those who are interested in Sarah Volwell, can get a good feel for her at this great page about her work with audio clips.

I think what I need is a shower and air dry for maximum cooling...
