And... once again... the Mom Report

So... The whisper wars seems to be over. I think everyone now realizes that when Mom says 'so and so said...' it is best to double check with so and so before going too far down the road. Mom is confused and tired and not pumping on all cylanders. And she's got no breath. She even admitted to me this morning that she gets winded reaching for the newspaper on the bedside table.

She also made a couple of passing references to let me know that she doesn't expect to be around much longer. She didn't sound depressed or bummed about it. More matter of fact that anything else. She's not one who, on her death bed will be hanging around for our permission 'to go' - she'll be 'fuck, I'm otta here - asta lavista, baby - catch 'ya on the flip side'.

My sister in law is ready to go and stay for however long she is needed. I swapped some emails with my brother today about how she will fair if Mom tanks under her care. I want her to be happy that she was able to be there and help. My brother said that both of them have had hospice training so he thinks she'll be fine and he'll reinforce it.

And that's the poop. It looks like Mom will go home tomorrow. And then the fun begins... 3,000/3/thankyoujesus
