Well, Mom fired the physical therapist and told the doctor that she was not going to wear oxygen outside of her apartment. She said the physical therapist (whom she called a 'trainer') was too pushy. (Dana said that Mom was pretty uncooperative - "I'm 81 and I don't have to do that if I don't want to" was the direct quote - which, of course, will now become a family saying.)

She probably really does need physical therapy and Medicare will pay for 4 weeks of it. But if she doesn't want to mess with it, why should she? And she probably really does need supplemental oxygen but, hey, how big a deal is breathing anyway?

I cannot criticize. I would have given up the ghost long ago if I were her. And I hope togod I never see 71 much less 81.
